NAWBO - BRC Strategic Plan

The Vision of NAWBO-BRC

NAWBO-BRC is a strong organization with considerable power and influence at the local and state level that is recognized by powerful people as the premier organization for women business owners in the region.

The Mission of NAWBO-BRC

NAWBO-BRC's mission is to:

  • Empower and promote women business owners in the greater Baltimore area; and
  • Promote self-defined prosperity for women business owners in the greater Baltimore area.

The Strategic Plan of NAWBO-BRC

NAWBO-BRC's strategic plan is to achieve:

  • Greater diversity of membership and corporate partners, including ethnicity, financial success, age and size of business; and
  • Better communication within the organization and with the public outside of NAWBO-BRC.

In order to embrace our evolving role as an organization of service to women business owners, these Strategic Priorities will guide our work through 2005.

Communications

Newsletter and Website

  • Enhance communication vehicles to promote organizational goals.
  • Diversify content and distribution of newsletter to reflect diversity of NAWBO-BRC and its interests.

Public Policy

  • Work to influence legislative and regulatory change to benefit women owned businesses.
  • Build strategic alliances with other business associations that have shared positions on public policy issues.

Public Relations

  • Communicate the value of NAWBO by promoting the benefits of membership.

Financial

Corporate Sponsorship

  • Increase Sponsorship and enhance the mutual benefits of the relationship.

Fundraising

  • Enrich the financial position and stability to sustain the organization.

Membership Services

Membership Committee

  • Increase membership and expand its diversity.
  • Increase shared business opportunities for a diverse membership.

Program and Professional Development

  • Provide relevant and current professional programs.

Scholarship

  • Expand the categories of scholarships to be awarded.
